It’s the only accurate way of measuring spurious emissions, harmonics and true power the fundamental frequency replicating Real World Performance. All test equipment and gear under test including meter, scope, spectrum analyzer, sampler, radio, and amp if applicable must be in plain sight at all times while the gear is under test, fully modulated.
Inducing distortion though meter using un-calibrated test equipment is misrepresentation and an illusion playing on your ignorance while insulting your intelligence! If they can’t display everything all at the same time while under test, explain ac volts, pep, pk, cw, rms , capacitance, inductance and the basic principles of a phase shift then how do you expect them to accurately test, tune or align your system?

I’m not questioning his work because I don’t know a diode from a transistor. I’m questioning his claim to be the only person to do something no one else can. There’s so many radio experts on this one site and It’s common sense that there’s nothing a true rec knows that another doesn’t or can’t easily figure out.
This is what happens when I fail to share the clip in which he makes the claim. I will not ever question a clip again, until I learn how to share it. Some folks prefer to get work done by someone who’s a very nice person with a great personality who will sit and talk to them for hours at a time over a cup of coffee and yet get mediocre work in the process and some people would rather pay a narcissist for excellent work simply because of the performance they know they will get even if the personality is less than friendly.
Me personally I would prefer to get radio performance out of a financial transaction as opposed to a pat on the back with less-than-stellar radio performance in exchange for my hard-earned dollars. Different Strokes for different folks.
