If the adoption request is approved, the volunteer will work with the prospective adopter to match the request with a dog that best fits their circumstances. A home visit may be necessary to make sure all members of the family, including any other dogs and cats, are compatible. Once a match has been made, you will complete the Adoption Contract.
By signing the contract, you commit to the dog you adopt as you would to any member of your family. Payment is required at the time of the adoption. Instructions for paying the adoption fee can be found with the Adoption Contract.
Adopter is required to pick up their pet off transport at a mutually agreed-upon location. Please note that the pick-up location may be a hour drive. The video covers several things you should consider before adopting a rescue dog. Your answers to the questions on this application will reflect the thought you have put into making this commitment and will ensure that we find the best possible match for your family.

They love to play in a kiddie pool and are good with other dogs. They are currently about 15 weeks and 20 pounds; they are mixed breed puppies, possibly retriever mixes. They have long legs, so they will likely be medium- to large-sized adults, about pounds. Watch this video of the J Puppies! Male The runt who doesn’t know he’s the runt! Lots of personality, a cuddle bug, very affectionate. Malli and her five puppies were rescued in Louisiana from a neglectful home.
Malli was tied up outside all day on a short rope, they were all virtually hairless, covered in skin lesions from a severe case of mange, and very undernourished. Their rescue foster family treated the mange and fed them well, and after 3 months, Malli and her pups are beautiful dogs, ready for their forever homes. Malli is probably a Hound mix and her puppies are happy, playful, energetic pups.

They love attention and are always ready to play. They have met cats in their foster home—they are curious and a bit timid with them. At 3 months and 15 pounds these boys love to run and play. They were found as strays on a dirt road in Louisiana. These sweet sisters are mixed breed and about four months. Both have lots of energy, are very friendly, and will do best with active families who can keep them busy and provide training.
Dixie Lou, Rosie, and Rebel are 5-month-old mixed breed puppies. They were found abandoned in Louisiana. Both are sweet puppies, very affectionate, love to play, and have LOTS of energy, very bouncy and lively.
They enjoy all the attention they can get and love to be loved on. They would do great in a family with older, sturdy kids, as they are pretty bouncy.
Active families are needed to keep them well exercised and tired out, and to provide them with obedience training. They will likely be under 40 pounds when full grown. This is one lucky bunch of puppies. All five boys were found under a camper van with their mama after their owner had died in a car accident. They went into a foster home and have been thriving.

They will be small adult dogs. Thelma and Louise are likely mother and daughter, abandoned in Tennessee by their owners when they moved away. They were found in a chicken coop by a neighbor who then took them to a rescue. They are very loving, affectionate girls and very active for their ages. They enjoy the company of other mellow dogs. We expect they would not do well with cats. They enjoy being indoors in their foster home and have quickly become couch pups!
