Arizona activated Ammendola from its practice squad Saturday ahead of Sunday’s game versus the Eagles. With regular starting kicker Matt Prater hip out, it’s Ammendola that will handle kicking duties for the Cardinals in Week 5. He has converted on 75 percent of his field-goal tries and 75 percent of his point-after attempts through two games in Arizona activated Hamilton to its active roster Saturday ahead of Sunday’s game versus the Eagles.
The veteran corner should work in a depth role behind Byron Murphy and Marco Wilson. Turner ankle was not listed on Arizona’s injury report Saturday, Darren Urban of the Cardinals ‘ official site reports. The star defensive lineman played a season-high 80 percent of the team’s defensive snaps in Week 4 and has totaled six tackles, two sacks and three pass defenses across three appearances this season.
Green and Marquise Brown foot are cleared to play, while Rondale Moore knee is listed as questionable and expected to be a game-time decision. Green caught five of 13 targets for 29 yards over the first three weeks of the season before missing Week 4 with a knee injury and now coming back for Week 5. The Eagles present a tough matchup for perimeter receivers, with Darius Slay and James Bradberry starting at cornerback.
Brown and A. Green knee both were full practice participants Friday and avoided the final injury report, while Rondale Moore knee is listed as questionable and likely will be a game-time decision. After missing the minimum four games, Wesley was designated to return from injured reserve Monday. However, per his head coach, the wideout has suffered a setback and won’t be added to the active roster for Week 5.
The severity of the setback is unclear, but Wesley could be forced to miss the remainder of the season if he isn’t activated off IR within 21 days of being designated to return. One day removed from being limited by the calf issue that’s lingered since Week 1 prep, Watt didn’t log any activity. He’s also one week removed from being diagnosed with atrial fibrillation and having his heart shocked back into rhythm.
Watt has been listed as questionable ahead of two of his three appearances this season, so there’s a decent chance his status won’t be shored up by week’s end. Moore didn’t make his first appearance of the season until this past Sunday at Carolina due to a lingering hamstring issue.
After avoiding the injury report entirely to begin Week 5 prep, he showed up Thursday with a knee concern. Midweek additions can raise the alarm, but there’s no indication yet from the Cardinals that anything serious is impacting the second-year wide receiver.
